Is buying Doubtnut worth it?

In March 2019 BYJU’S became the world’s most valued Edtech company at $5.4 billion (Rs 38500 crore). BYJU’S has secured investments from multiple investors including Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, Sequoia Capital, Sofina, Lightspeed venture partners, IFC, Napsters ventures, CPPIB, and more.

The most recent investor on BYJU’S who is making the headlines is DST Global, the investment firm headed by billionaire Yuri Milner. BYJU’S has been reportedly valued at $10.5 billion posts the funding from DST global.  This precisely means BYJU’s is well funded.

As mentioned earlier, Doubtnut has raised about $18.5 million dollars in funding, however, Doubtnut has a huge potential that is untapped. BYJU’S and  Doubtnut complement each other in the capabilities that they bring to the table.

If BYJU’S successfully acquires Doubtnut, its synergies could offer a much comprehensive learning program and help them fulfill both their global and regional aspirations.
