BYJU’S says Vanakkam ?!!
BYJU’S, the world’s leading EdTech company, has rolled out their learning content in Tamil.
The EdTech giant already offers content in Hindi, Gujrati, Bengali, Malayalam, Kannada, and Telugu, and they are expected to add more vernacular-language content to their portfolio.
Part of the BYJU’S Goal
Mrinal Mohit COO of BYJU’S says that the Tamil version of BYJU’s The Learning App is all part of their bigger goal to help students learn math and science in their own native languages. The Tamil learning content is currently available for classes 4-10. It provides new opportunities for students across Tamil Nadu as it brings to them the benefit of access to world-class learning content in their mother tongue.
“The introduction of BYJU’s learning content in Tamil will help students from both the urban centers and students from rural areas of Tamil Nadu learn from the best teachers in the country, thus create a level playing field irrespective of geography or language.”
BYJU’S Dives Deeper into the Indian Market
The ongoing pandemic has led to a switch from traditional classroom pedagogy to the digital learning approach, leaving a majority of parents and students opting for online learning over physical tutoring classes. BYJU’S becoming a decacorn amidst the pandemic further proves the strong growth in the online learning space. With 70 million registered users and counting, BYJU’S will extend their roots deeper into the Indian market with the introduction of the Tamil learning content.
We are truly grateful for the support and love that we continue to receive from parents and students across Tamil NaduMrinal Mohit
